What you may not know about your district:
The Dodge City district consists of 53 churches and 37 clergy in the southwest quarter of Kansas.
The Dodge City District is home to one of our Great Plains Conference Camps in Camp Lakeside. Camp Lakeside is located near Scott City, Kansas, adjacent to Lake Scott.
The district also is home to Genesis Family Health. Genesis Family Health (GFH) has provided medical and social services to thousands of people in Southwest Kansas. GFH began as a United Methodist ministry known as United Methodist Mexican American Ministries.
How to get to the district office? How to get to the district’s office? From US 61, take the Avenue A exit and turn west. Follow Avenue A to Walnut Street. Turn north and drive two blocks.
The Dodge City District office is located in the United Methodist Health Ministry Fund office at the corner of First and Walnut.
Technology is becoming an increasingly important resource in our ministry in all communities to reach people for Christ. With the large geographic area of the district, it also keeps our UMC churches connected to one another.
